Description:
Working hard on bowls for the 2025 Empty Bowl event and looking for something different to finish your pieces? How about trying a couple of different techniques to liven up your surfaces? If you’ve been in and around the HPG studio this summer you may have seen Dee Oliva’s sassy cartoon cats and text embellished bowls she’s been doing with Justin Hang. Want to try painting your own images and writing on your pieces? Dee will be delighted to show you her techniques!

Requirements:

• Bisqueware

• Assorted underglazes if you have some (we will have a few colors on hand for participants)

• Brushes (different sizes/types)

• Paper and pencil to draw designs out (optional)

• Notebook to take notes (optional)
