Description:
We’re very fortunate to have Ryan Schulz back at HPG for his popular slip workshop. Ryan combines drawings and slip work on his pieces to achieve a beautifully distinct and tactile surface. He’ll discuss slip making and guide you through making and applying your own slip. Ryan’s not currently teaching at HPG so if you’ve seen his art around town and always wanted to see how he makes his work, now is your chance!

Requirements:

• Leather hard greenware

• One pint of porcelain trimmings or some other clay you’d like to turn into a slip

• Storage containers for your slip

• Chip brushes (flat brush often used for house paint), hake brushes (soft flat artist brush used for washes), or ribs for slip application

• Notebook to take notes (optional)
